How do I upgrade from Internet Explorer 4.0?

How can I upgrade my scanner to work with Internet Explorer 7?

  • I recently changed from Windows SP2 to SP3. By doing so, I also changed from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 7, and now my scanner wont install. When trying to install the scanner (Medion Flatbed Scanner) a message box appears saying "A newer version of Internet Explorer has been detected on this computer. Installation cannot continue" When I was using E6 the scanner worked perfect. Is there an upgrade available for the scanner? I really don`t want to buy another one. Thanks to all who reply to this message.

    I think this may just be a driver issue. Go to the maker`s website, locate your model scanner. Get new drivers. Or, go into Device Manager & check your drivers for scanner are there & installed. Try updating drivers from there. ( My computer, Manage then Device Manager )

Normally scanners don't rely on Internet explorer to function. Are you sure it is not saying Windows explorer instead because Windows explorer is not the same as Internet explorer. You may find a patch or an update for the scanner at it's manufacturer's web site.if any exist. An upgrade would require replacement of the scanner for a newer model
