How do i change a document to a picture?

Scan Documents to computer, it saves as Picture file. I need to be document, like Word...?

  • Everytime I scan something to my computer, it saves as a picture file in my Kodak Easyshare. So when I open it it is a picture format.... I need it to scan and save as a word file so I can print the documents. It does not give me the option when I scan, as to which kind of file it is. Is there a way to change my scan settings on my computer to scan as a word document? I have been re-opening it with Paint and shrinking it until it fits onto a page in Word. Then copy and paste! It is soooo time consuming! Thanks so so much!

    You should be able to print it right from Paint. Try CTRL/P or the File menu. Hope that helps.

Depending upon your scanner the software that came with it should allow you to change how your documents are saved. Without knowing which software you are using I cannot step by step say how to fix it. I would start in settings or options. Also when scanning to word you will need some type of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) plug-in for the software if it isn't already included. This allows letters to directly be scanned in instead of creating a picture.

start a new word sheet, select insert, picture, and choose either clip art or from file. And save as.
