What do registry cleaners actually do?

Good free registry cleaners?

  • i need some registry cleaners or whatever they are called, but i need it to be free and from a trusted site i have used ccleaner but it just doesn't get the job done i have registry easy installed on my computer, but it needs a serial number which i don't have so what are some good registry cleaners that are good and free (or if you have registry easy can u give me the serial number to borrow)

I use CCleaner and it works fine...do you have it set up correctly? Make sure everything is ticked including Index.dat files, all application cache/cookies and everything. Go into advanced and check - it should be the best application for the job!

My father-in-law always uses "free" programs, and I'm constantly over there fixing his computer. Good programs are not free. That's the nature of the beast. No one can give you a serial number on here because that's illegal. You can't "borrow" a serial number. Either you're stealing software or you aren't. Simple as that. Here's an idea: Find a good registry cleaner, like Registry Booster, and search for a coupon. You can usually find a coupon for 10 or 15 bucks off of stuff. I think that particular program is only like 30 bucks anyway. So, save up the other 15, and then you don't have to worry about viruses. Or, you can go through the registry one by one and close down each process. Anything that doesn't make your computer spaz out, is useless. (Totally kidding on this one. Bad idea.)
