How to scan pictures onto the computer?

well i wanted to scan these two pictures and somehow get them onto facebook but the guy told me that all i can do is scan the pictures into a cd but its only 2 pictures and im not gonna go through a cd just for them. i usually know that you can scan pictures right into the computer but he said you cant?..

You can scan pictures on to your computer either with a scanner or a printer that includes a scanner. Also, some stores or photo shops have an option to scan photos on to a flash drive that you can use again and again but has the same effect of using a CD.
