How does the scan work on my printer?

I have a printer with a scanner on our network at work and I need to use it to scan into photoshop.. how?

  • If the printer/scanner was local I would be able to simply select a twain source... but this wont work as it is on a network... so how do I set this up? cheers

    You will have to be able to find the scanner on the network and have your computer recognize it before it will show up in photoshop's import options. Sorry I can't assist with finding the scanner on your network.

hi 1- open your photoshop 2- from file menu choose import 3- from import choose usb scanner or scanner and camera wizared i hope it works

If you're not the PC network administrator for your company, you would need to have your company's PC network administrator network the two together. I had the same problem once and couldn't get it working until the network administrator resolved it; THEN I was able to import. Good luck.
