Problem with AVG 2011 (free edition)?

Sometimes AVG can be buggy. If the AVG install is causing you problems uninstall it and install Microsoft Security Essentials (a free antivirus from Microsoft) or Avast antivirus. Both are good.

I have not had AVG quite on me but when anti-virus quite sometimes it a virus turning it off malware can do this too I wise Norton utilities to clean the system for errors when it not a virus how ever I realize not everyone has Norton to clean registry and I check AVG 2011 has some problems but I did not find the one you describe you can check and see if it a virus or malware only a small chance other wise registry editor.
