Why wont my printer scan?

The type of printer/copier/scanner i have is a HP Deskjet F335 and it will print and copy just fine but, when I hit the button to scan it wont do any thing and the light that lights up when it is turned on will blink. I dont know if I have to download something or just mess with it but if you can help thanks.

Hp scanners are fussy. You will have to unplug the USB from the computer and install the scanner over again. Power it on. Begin setup and let the program tell you when to re-connect the USB cable. Let it finish setup and reboor computer. Windows will tell you it found new hardware. Go in control panel and click on Scanners and Cameras. You will see the HP icon there and click it. Now the scanner will work. You can also go in START menu and click on HP Solution Center in the HP folder.
