How do you deep clean a Canon Pixma MP520?

Canon Pixma MP520 Printer and Scanner Help....?

  • Does anyone know how I can scan photos onto my computer in colour? Whenever I try to scan a photo, it always comes out in black and white. Is there any setting adjustments that need to be made on my computer/printer? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  • Answer:

There's an onscreen manual that you can download and run ... it's an .exe file ... from the Canon (USA) website for your Canon PIXMA MP520 All-in-One, my friend. Hopefully, this will contain the information that you require. Actually, there's a .pdf (Portable Document Format) file which MAY contain the information you require. Because it's a .pdf file you'll need to have a PDF Reader installed on your computer. (The most well known PDF Reader is Adobe Reader, but this is quite a large file that takes up a hefty chunk of system resources on your computer. You can download it at the third url below.) Another few PDF Readers that you MAY wish to consider are eXPert PDF Reader (fourth url below) and Foxit Reader (fifth url below). The Quick Start Guide states: "If You Want to Scan Originals with Advanced Settings ScanGear enables you to scan originals with advanced settings such as the resolution. For detailed operations of ScanGear, refer to the Scanning Guide on-screen manual."
