How do you make pictures smaller on your computer?

How do you make pictures you scan into your computer smaller????

  • I scanned some pictures into my computer that I want to put on a site but they are to big how do I make them smaller?????

  • Answer:

If you're scanning, and you only want to use the pictures on a website, scan them at either 72 dpi or at most 96dpi. Then use a basic imaging program, if they're still too big, to "resize". If you don't have one, go to www.tucows.com and search for Irfanview. That's a nice little freeware program.

First you can scan at a lower resolution for smaller pics. You can resize them in any Photo Edit program.

You can easily resize your pictures with some kind of picture program. For example, if you have access to paint shop pro or photo shop, you can resize it in there. If you don't have any of those, there should be a program on your computer, that does resizing. To find it, click on the menu bar, when a new window opens up look to see if you have a program there. If not, just do a search to see whats available on your computer.
