Why is my printer not working?

Why isn't my HP printer/scanner working?

• We have an HP Deskjet F4240 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier- I'm trying to scan some pictures to put on the computer- when I put a paper in the scanner and press the scan button, nothing seems to happen. The printer is on, but it doesn't seem to do anything, and nothing pops up on the computer. This scanner has worked before; we've used it without problem in the past. I've gone into My Computer and found the program files or whatever they're called for the printer, but I'm not sure what to do after that- if that is what I'm supposed to do. Why isn't it working? What should I do?

  Hp scanner do not work when using the scan button most of the time. Go in START menu and find the HP folder. Select HP Solution center and click on it. You will see the SCAN PIC Button there. Click it and the scanner will work :) If you are using Adobe PHOTOSHOP for some reason. go in the FILE menu and select SOURCE. You should see your scanner there. Use the TWAIN DRIVER. Now, select SCAN and it will work from there as well :)
