How do I scan a document onto my mac laptop?
-
I have a bunch of pictures I want to scan onto my computer, but I don't know how. I have an HP Photosmart printer and I know it scans (considering it says "scan" on it) but I'm not sure which specific model it is. I tried just pressing "scan" and then "scan onto computer" but It didn't work. It said "Try scan from computer or see documentation" please help!

Answer:
it sounds like the scanning software is not installed. Look in the HP folder for the Scanner software, if not there then find your CD and install it. You should try looking in the System Preferences and in the Print and Fax icon you should see an icon for scan when you highlight your printer in the left column, this would then suggest the scanning software is installed. Again if not there then reload the software from the CD.
