OMG please help..problem scanning a picture all the sudden I need to post as a favor to someone?

I was scanning several picture for someone who met one of the American idols and who has as a picture of them hugging. She is being called a liar by other fans and is desperate to prove she is not a liar. The poor lady just became homeless with her 3 kids and has no way to scan as no computer or money. She let me borrow her pictures to scan them so she can post some as proof to these jerks upsetting her a lot. I scanned several pictures fine..when I got to the last one (though I also have ones of me I want to scan with the same idol) which was the most important one of her hugging him, all the sudden my scanner broke. It said it could not copy the picture. I noticed the picture had a dried water stain on it that I do not know if I did or her but I can probably recopy it tomorrow at Walmart's OK, but now the scanner says the following message: the computer cannot detect the scanner or device. Please make sure the device is turned on and properly connected to the computer.

ok... try to unistall and reinstall the driver just go to add and remove programs and unistalll everything that has the keyword scanner.. after unistalling restart ur computer now install the scanner driver from ur cd... can we know which scanner are u using??.. anyways if this doesnt work mail me. we ll find a solution
