Uninstalling a scanner?

How can I get my scanner to work?

• My scanner's a CanoScan N67OU, and my computer's a PC. Whenever I try to scan anything, it comes up with the error message 'Unable to load TWAIN server'. It's been working for over a year, although I have had other problems with it before. I've tried turning the scanner on/off, plugging/unplugging it, uninstalling and reinstalling both the software and the hardware. Any suggestions?

  you need to uninstall the entire scanner...shut down the computer...let it rest for a complete minute...restart, put the disk in to reinstsall, but make sure that the scanner is not plugged in with any cables...the power cord is ok to keep plugged into the electrical outlet...but anything else needs to be disconnected from the computer...once you have that done, install...then when it directs you to plug the cable to the scanner into the computer, do it...then when it has finished installing, there should be more instructions on the screen...if there aren't, then the scanner is ready for use...you may have to shut down one more time for the changes to take effect...but everything must be totally removed before the computer will recognize the twain...good luck...
