How to scan pictures from a HP Photosmart to a Mac OS X without the disk?

I just got a new computer recently and I was wondering if there was a way to scan pictures from my HP Photosmart C4680 to it without the disk since I lost it. I believe that the computer I have is the newest one from Apple. Also, I installed the HP Photosmart studio from their website already, but whenever I click scan, it says no devices found when a USB cable is connecting the two. Please help me~ ^^

You say "I just got a new computer", but you don't say which one. It will be labeled right on the front of the computer. I assume you bought it new, so it must be running OS 10.6.x. Open Software Update from the Apple menu. Install all updates. Restart. Use Software Update again. Download and install the software at the link below. It is called "HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers", not "HP Photosmart studio". Restart. If it still won't scan, maybe the cable is bad.
