Uninstalling a scanner?

Problem unistalling OpticSlim 2400+ Scanner NEED HELP?

• i need help uninstall thise scanner of mine because i try to uninstall it and there an error poping out saying "Error Number: 0x80040702 Description: Failed to load DLL: WIAService Setup will now Terminate." i try to do the Device manager still not working is there any program that will remove my Scanner Driver Completly with out using there Scanner SETUP DRIVER? i need help i been having thise problem for 3 days :( i really cnt uninstalling that damn Scanner! Driver!!!!

  If I'm reading this correctly, you have 2 drivers & 1 scanner hooked up. The computer is still looking for the old scanner , instead of using the new one. You need to do this.... Start> Control Panel> Scanners & Cameras (in XP) & designate the new one a default scanner. It should show both, & may display a question mark about missing scanner. Now go to Start> Control Panel> Add Hardware, & reinstall the drivers for the new scanner. Again, if the old driver is still there, make sure to designate the new one as the default scanner.
