How do I shrink the file size of documents I am scanning in as PDF files?
-
The PDF files are way too large for a gray scale text only page. The files average about 10mb per page. I already have the dpi set on 200. How do I have them scan in as a PDF at a reasonable file size?

When you scan something it is saved as an image file. It could be that your PDF pages are nothing but large images - one per page. If it's only text you might consider Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert the image to text and save that instead.
