Portable barcode scanner?

How do I find the built-in barcode reader/scanner on my iphone4?

I bought a 16gb iphone 4 last week and they second day I had it I somehow stumbled upon the built in barcode reader and used it to read or scan a barcode on one of my books, and it worked and the iphone found the book. But now I can't seem to find where the barcode reader anywhere on my iphone4 or how to access it. How do you find the barcode reader on the iphone4? Step by step instructions would help as I am really frustrated right now! When I search on google for help all I find is apps for barcode readers. I swear it was on my phone without installing any apps, I have witnesses that it was on my ipnone before and now it's vanished! How can I access the barcode reader again?

that makes me wonder too now. LOL i checked my app world, there is a free bar code reader that you can download.. sorry i don't think our iphone4 has a default bar code reader.
