My scanner turns all scans to PDF, but I need JPG. Help me please!?
-
I have an HP Deskjet F4440 and everytime I scan a photo, it automatically turns it into a PDF file. I want to be able to upload these pictures to Facebook or Flickr, so I need them to be in JPG format (I don't really know much about PDF or JPG, so if there is anything I'm overlooking, please tell me). I've tried everything that I could think of to change the file, like changing the name and trying to copy and paste the picture to paint and word. I really don't want to have to download software to convert the files; I would like for the scanner to automatically do that every time. Thanks in advance for your help!

Answer:
I think there must be something wrong with the setting. You must have specified the printer to PDF. Check the setting firstly! Or there are mayy ways to change PDF to JPG, I found you this http://www.convertpdf.org/change-pdf-to-jpeg.html

You are using either a scanning program or scanning from Windows. Either way there should be a choice of output formats. Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows7 operating systems provide a basic set of scanning drivers, also referred to as Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) drivers that you can use as an alternative to scan a document when you cannot scan using the HP drivers. You might choose to use these scanning drivers for one of the following reasons: Your product released before Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows7, and HP has not released drivers that support scanning for your product. You have not installed the available HP software that includes scanning. You are troubleshooting a scanning problem and trying to identify the source of the problem.

You could google the web looking for a online converter service. This isn't software, just a website that will convert a .pdf to a .jpg. One such example that should work (but I haven't tested it for this particular conversion type) is http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-jpg. It is a very good site, and use it to convert whatever I need. Hope you like it!

Your using an HP printer. On your disk or in your computer should be HP Director. Use it to scan your pics.
