hi friend, Lets see it step by step: Ready???? 1) Place the photos in the scanner and press the scan button and then press the Start button. The picture gets scanned and saves in a folder. I dont know what type of scanner you are using. I have a 5 in 1 like fax, phone, printer, scanner etc.. so in my scanner i do as mentioned above. You can choose the destination folder to save your photos in that folder, from the settings of the scanner. 2) Insert the cd in to the drive. 3) Open the folder where the photo is saved. Press "Ctrl+A" now all the pictures gets selected, now Right click, "Send to", "Disc", now the pictures will be copied in the cd. Or else you can open the cd by going to control panel, and then copy the photos and paste in it. 3) How many photos can be stored in the cd, depends of the Size of each photo, if the photos are of high resolution, then the size could be big, so it depends and differs... Hope i didnt confuse...

You can do that easily if you have Nero Start Smart. You can download nero from this site- http://www.brothersoft.com/nero-startsmart-download-59638.html. If you can't,check the size of one file by right clicking on the icon,-Properties. "The size on disk" will be the size. You can divide that size from 700 to know the approximate number. Open the blank cd and then copy the number of files on the disk which can fit ,after copying the files select the files and check the properies whether the size is lower than 700 mb and click on something like "Write these files on CD" or something on the left panel of window under Cd Writing task tab or whatever. Also check whether the cd is 700mb or lower than that. The best is to download Nero SS. Any one who could read English ,could burn cd in Nero. If you hve then- Open Nss,then try it.
Hi Friend, I do not know what type of DEVICE you have purchased. From the details of your device I guess you have purchased a DVD/CD Disk Drive(Read/Write). Let me kame you clear. I am not worng- DVD/CD DISK Drive is diffrent from Scanner. 1. DVD/CD Drive: We read the Disc data/ Write the PC data to a new Disk or Empty Disk where with Scanner we Scan the Documents/Photso etc. 2. As long as the Nos. of Photos in 700MB Disc : It depend upon the stting of the Resolution in Photo Scan option the Application software in your computer for the Specified scanner AND the format of the picture( like mpg/TIF/png/bmp etc.). If your system scans and saves the Photos in mpg, I think you can be above to store more than 100 Nos. Pictures with a good resolution. General Procedure to SCAN the PHOTOS. 1. Open the application program for the scanner ( 'Photoscan ' for HP scanner for an example) You can see the resolution/size etc clicking on the properties . 2. Place the Photo in side the Scanner as per the Indication Area and click on the SCAN and see the preview and accept it. It will scan and store the photos in "C:\My Documents/My Pictures" by default . Open the ' My Picture' and copy it to your personal/convinient Place. 3. Open Burning Software in your PC( Like Roxio/Nero etc). See the options to burn photos. If you do not see any such type, Click on Make data Disc. 4. Click on ADD. then browse your Folder where you have kept you Photos. slect the photso you want to burn. 5. Then put the CD in side the CD/DVD drive. then click on Burn/NEXT NEXT etc. if you have purchased a DIRECT PHOTO SCAN/BURN DEVICE, then I think procedure is different. Read the Users Manual enclosed with it.

what have u bought exactly???? A scanner & printer (All in One) or A cd/dvd read write combo drive U will need both to complete the task u specified. 1. scan the photo to pc. a s/w will be provided with ur scanner 2.Burn all the scanned files to disc. use a cd/dvd burning tool like nero or a free ware tool to burn the files. 3.As for no. of files u can store it depends on the type of file if a ,jpg or jpeg file is 5mb in bmp format it will be 25mb u will not notice that much diff in quality unless u do a lot of editing using tools like PhotoShop etc. Use jpg if its for storing & viewing only.
