How can I get Avast to not scan Rosetta Stone?
-
I trust Rosetta Stone. When I run a virus scan it takes over 2 days to scan Rosetta Stone. I have 3 languages on it. I'm using a laptop so it's a problem. The scan slows down my computer. How could I get it not to scan Rosetta Stone when I run a full system scan?

Answer:
There is usually a way to tell the Anti-Virus to ignore specific directories, not being familiar with Avast I can't say how you would do it, but if you add the program directory for Rosetta Stone to this list it will not scan it, but remember its not that you don't trust Rosetta Stone, its that you don't want to trust people who might write a virus which targets Rosetta Stone directories.

most AV programs have option for full scan, or manual scan. Just do manual scans with all the folders checked except the rosetta stone folders.
