How do I remove write protection from micro sd card?

I bought a SanDisk 1.0 gb micro sd card & get a message when I open the my music file to copy music in there that the disk is write protected. Can I unprotect it? I had read other answers & they refer to the lock tab on the side of the adapter. Mine is not broken as others have indicated. Should it be in the locked position or not? Mine was in the locked position. Is this my problem?

ok. If you have a phone that plays music then you have top download mp3 files. All CD songs have protections which prevent you from listenign to them. I have a Samsung A-950 and I had the same problem

I guess so but it can also be software locked. If you right click on it and go to properties it should say if it is yes or no,uncheck this option to unlock.
