What scanners do Google use to digitize their books and any suggestions?
-
My friend has a small press and is looking for a good scanner to digitize old books thanks!

Answer:
Google doesn't use a Plustek at $1500. That is false. Get a HP G-3110 for $100 and it is made for book scanning and will do the same job as a $1500 unit. Here is the link. I use one for our professional magazine and does the job. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4102774&SRCCODE=WEBINKPLP&cm_mmc_o=YztBBCjCmH4CjCmmVCjCmmV
