This should be in the scanner's set up tab or menu mate.

Although it's not always easy to see where it is most scanners allow you to save in different formats. Have a look round there. If no go then save the scan and open it in 'Windows' or a 'Photo' programme. They definitely allow you to save in JPEG for example. DO NOT go for a GIF files they are too big to be accepted. RoyS

When you scan your pics on your computer, just change the setting from “save as file type” and select jpg – for still or gif – for moving. If you can’t do it there, then copy the pic to the desktop, and highlight the pic (by pointing to it and then right click to select), then select “open with” from the drop down menu. That will open a second list, and select “Paint”. When MS paint opens you should see your pic, then select “save as” and change you pic name, then select “Save As” and you will have two selections to set up. The first is “File Name” ( select an easy name to remember), and the second is “Save as Type” , this is where you select the jpg or gif ( for still select jpg or moving select gif). That’s it. Good Luck!
