How can I scan pictures from my copier to my computer?

Can anybody tell me how to scan pictures into my computer using a DELL all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier

  • I used to be able to do it very easily but now when I go to control panel and then 'scanners and cameras' the scanner isn't even in that section. I tried looking at the help topics but it isn't helping. The printer is hooked up to my computer. I tried to also just push scan on the printer but the window that used to come up before doesn't come up.

  • Answer:

Try unplugging the scanner from from your computer, then plugging it back in. Sometimes it's necessary to do that with USB devices to get them to work again. That should always be the first thing to try when you've having problems with a USB device.

Other answers

Make sure you installed the drivers before plugging it in. If you didn't do that, it may be unusable. If you're sure you did, then go to My computer, and look for your scanner. it'll usually be "(number here) bit scanner". double click on it, and choose copy image. you'll go through a wizard, an windows will copy the image from the scanner to your hard drive.
