Laptop can not see local desktop printer?
-
So my setup is an HP printer connected via USB to my desktop running Vista. I have a laptop running 7. My old laptop which had XP could print as long as the desktop was turned on. Now with 7 I can not see the printer. Any ideas? I have drivers installed. The printer works if I connect directly to it, but for some reason Windows 7 is not finding the printer, although it can find the desktop and share documents.

Answer:
Try connecting the printer in another USB port. If it still won't work, check Windows' device manager if all device drivers are installed.
