Why wont my printer work?

  • My printer works fine when I print stuff off webpages, documents, text, test pages, etc but when I try and print through UPS Worldship or Dazzle USPS and other programs, it will not work. Any suggestions? I just installed the Brother 1440 driver on my XP and it still will not work. It does not give any error message, it just doesnt send the info to the printer. Any suggestions?

    Programs usually print to whichever printer is selected by default. If you have access to several printers, especially if you are on a network, this can become a problem. Make sure you've specified your default printer. 1) Click the "Start" menu 2) Choose "Printers and Faxes". 3) Right mouse click on your desired printer and choose "Set as Default Printer". Additionally, before you print form Worldship or Dazzle, look to the top menu bar, choose "File", then "Print" and wait for the printer dialog box to pop up. Be sure you've specified the correct printer to use, then click "OK".
