Question about Epson printer settings.?

  • I have the Epson Photo RX580 and it works for documents as well as photos, but when I'm out of a colored ink it wont let me print anything, not even a work document in black and white. Doed anyone know how to by pass this so that I can print documents that I need now?

    Even when you are printing black you are using all 6 colours. IN order to make ogod photo printer the black used is not a true black, ther printer will underlay all colours to darken and sharpen the black. There is no way around this setting, as even when printing in black all colours are needed. You have to replace the cartridge. For all epson users out there, keep a spare set on hand, or buy a new cartridge when you reach 25% your printer will shut down when one colour runs out.

NO WAY U HAVE TO REPLACE THE FINISHED COLOR CARTRIDGE. ITS NOT ECONOMICALLY WISE TO USE PHOTO PRINTER TO PRINT WORD DOCUMENTS. GO FOR A LASER PRINTER.

Yes unfortunately there is no way to bypass this. It is a big con so you have to buy another colour ink cartridge. As the person above said if you print mostly word documents it deffo would be much more economical to pick up a cheap inkjet.
