How to install all in one printer?

How can i install a printer on my pc that is a shared printer not a local one?

  • do I have to somehow connect to the netowork? there is one set up on another pc along with that printer but for some reason my pc isnt picking it up at all.

    First you need to make sure both Computers are in the same work group.. to find out right click on "My computer"and then on the tab "Computer Name" Make sure both computers have the same work group If so go to your network place (Computer that you want to install the printer to) But b4 that make sure that the printer is sharable... On my network place on the left side there should b the network tasks Click on the one that says "View workgroup Computers" Once you do so, you will see all the computers on your network Click on the computer of witch you wish to use its printer You will see then the name of the printer all you have to do now is right click on it and click on connect thats way one the other way is to go to control panel and then Printer and Faxes on the left side click add printer make sure you select you want to connect to a printer that is attached to another computer After clicking next let it browse for a printer Scroll to the bottom and click on the name of the computer you wish to get the printer from The name of the printer will appear and just click next....
