How do I reconnect to my wireless printer?

How to reconnect an hp wireless printer?

  • I recently changed wireless internet service providers. My hp printer which used to work just fine now it refuses to print unless it's hooked up to the computer directly. How do I make it connect to the new network and function properly?

  • Answer:

You need to reinstall it as a wireless printer following the prompts. You can change it's IP address and such too but I think a reinstall as wireless is the safer bet, as if you knew how to change it's IP you wouldn't be asking the question to begin with! Good luck!

Follow these step-by-step instructions to connect your HP wireless printer to a wireless network using the Wireless Setup Wizard. This simple installation method connects your printer without using your PC—this way, your printer doesn’t need to be right next to your computer during setup. The process is nearly the same for most new HP wireless Photosmart printers and All-in-Ones. The Wireless Setup Wizard is ideal for those without a push-button router. If your router has a push-button, you might consider the one-touch wireless setup. A third wireless connection method, USB setup, is available on all HP All-in-Ones, though it has more steps and requires you to temporarily connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable. http://h71028.www7.hp.com/hho/cache/606869-0-0-225-121.html
