How can i get the red light to stop flashing on my epsom c42 printer?

    If the printer is still working, the red flashing light is to warn you that the ink cartridge is almost empty and it's time to buy another one. If the printer has stopped working you need to replace the ink cartridge.

Film_add has given you the right answer. It is a warning sign and once the flashing goes faster, though I think it's at that stage already, you will be unable to print until you replace cartridge. I would have a look at your status monitor, it should have come up automatically.

Have you checked your cartridge levels as low levels of ink could be the cause of the flashing red light. Also have you referred the epson handbook....the trouble shooting section.

If it's flashing, it means ink is low, if it's solid it means ink is out or paper is jammed. With low ink, it hould still print. However, if the red light &the green light are flashing, your printer has failed completely. Try unplugging from the mains, then try moving the ink carriage side to side before plugging back in & switching on. If they still both flash, it's time for a new printer.
