Why wont my printer work?!?

okay i have a hp psc 1350 (printer, scanner, copier,) and every time i try to print something it says it is printing, but it doesnt do anything. i know the printer is hooked up right, and when i turn it off and back on the sheet that say *for best result follow these instructions* or whatever prints off. and i know i at least have black ink, and sometimes i wont have colored ink and it will still work. help!!!

That is an alignment page, scan it. The printer will not print until it has been aligned.
