I have printing problems.

HP Laserjet5 on a network-printing problems-?

• Starting this week 2 of the 3 computers in our office have had problems printing. It would just hang there, or print the first two pages, yellow popup comes up, document failed to print. Or it would print half the page, sometimes with graphics only, or other times with out the graphics. The printer isnt hooked up to anyone computer, it has one of those Jetdirect x boxes for the network. First it was a problem with printing from a pdf, so i updated to adobe 8, installed a few updates per our IT Desks recomondations, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, pretty much did everything i could think of. Now 2 computers are printing fine, but its just mine that is being stubborn. Not just pdfs anymore, same thing, prints half a page, or no page, or just graphics, or no graphics... What? What does this thing want from me, I have spent like 5 hours this week messing around with this, we even had the computer repair man come in, get paid, leave, and it still doesnt work! Any thoughts?

  It could be a number of things but first thing I would check is the size of your paging file which is were the computer stores the pint job till the printer is ready to take it. You can this by right clicking on my computer icon then properties then the advanced tab the settings under performance then the advanced tab then under virtual memory click on the change button and make sure that the system manged button is filled in. If not do so. Also make sure that your hard dive is not close to being full that would cause for a smaller paging file. If that don't work then check your printers memory and make sure that it has enough.
