Why is my printer printing red horizontal lines all over the page?

I have an HP colour laser jet CP2025 printer, and it is printing black lines down the page?

  • they are about 4cm in from each side and are only half a mm width. any ideas of why it is doing it and how to stop it. Thanks :)

  • Answer:

I don't have the same Printer, but I'm sure you just need to start a cleaning cycle or buy new carts.

Check your user manual or hp's site for "image defects". There is a list of them that can help diagnose the problem. It could be anything from an image transfer belt, transfer roller, fuser, dirty mirror on the laser scanner assembly, bad formatter, other dirty rollers, or a bad toner cartridge.
