HP Deskjet All-in-One Printer Problems....Help?

  • I currently have a HP Deskjet F4140 All-in-One printer and up until now I have had absolutely no problems with it. Recently for a business I have been trying to print out post cards but about every 2 prints the printer only prints the page halfway thru, I think the error message says im low on ink and so went out and bought new cartridges and I am still running into the same problem. I have re-installed the driver twice and I have never had a problem with the ink before and have for a year now been getting my ink at the same place and I have used the same exact paper that im using now before with no problems. No matter what kind of paper I use it still happens. Anyone know why this is happening? Cant afford to keep messing up on expensive paper..

  • Answer:

Go to HP website and look for a possible update for your printer driver. If you are using any other ink refill cartridges than an HP cartridge, the printer will not recognize it and will give the error low on ink. If this doesn't provide any help for your situation you then need to look at possible hardware malfunction. The paper rollers sometimes get skewed and cause issues. Or maybe you are asking for more than the printer queue can handle. Try smaller batches.
