Does anybody know what website I can go to to get easy robot building instructions?

Printer ignores all instructions and only prints same page again and again?

  • A few days ago I created a short page of text in Microsoft Word (which I'm not very familiar with and rarely use, but have not had any trouble with it) and successfully printed the document. Ever since then, my Lexmark printer will only print copies of that document, no matter what website I go to and no matter what else I set up in the Print Preview and no matter what instructions I give it I have gone back to Microsoft Word and spent a lot of time trying everything I can think of to cancel the print order. I have even deleted the original file I created. Plus I have rebooted the computer. Turned the printer off and on. And disconnected and reconnected the cables. And still the damn fool machine keeps giving me copy after copy of this now nonexistent document. Jeez I HATE computers. Does anybody know how I can get the printer working again? (Oh yah, for what it's worth: I tried pressing the "Help" button, which then offered to show me the "Lexmark Service Center." So I clicked on that. Then got a message: "There was an error... Would you like to retry?" Yes, I told it to retry. "There was an error... Would you like to retry?" Well, I could see that this was the very type of behavior that I was trying to fix. So, no, I told it not to keep on retrying. Did I mention? I HATE computers.)

  • Answer:

I agree with the first person. You will need to uninstall and then reinstall the printer from scratch. A driver has become corrupted by the sounds. It happened to me many times. I also had it happen in Word and had to uninstall and reinstall that as well. It could be either. But start with the printer - that's the most likely culprit.

The best solution is to get rid of that Lexmark piece of junk. They make the worst printers out there. They are poorly designed and made with the cheapest parts they can find. Their drivers are extremely buggy and if that's not enough to convince you, Dell printers are made by Lexmark. "Nuff said.
