Computer won't recognise USB printer?

You need to install the driver for your printer, my friend. Unplug the USB cable and place the CD that came with your printer into your CD/DVD drive. The installation programme should run automatically. If you can't put your hands on the driver CD, you can download it from the HP (USA) website. (You'll need to indicate which specific printer it is that you have, and then select which Operating System your computer is using. This will ensure that you get the correct driver.
