How do you put ink into a printer?

I have a epson c44 printer. How do i put ink jets in as the carriage will not stop in centre of the printer?

  • printer fully functional. And working fine. But how do i get carriage to stop in centre of printer so i can install the inks or do i have to go into somrthing on the computer itself to do this. I do not have a manual for the printer as it was not new when i bought it. Can anyone tell me how --please -- thank you eileen

    power down the printer pull the carriage across manually fit the carts in and turn it on again, it will recentre automatically

go to printer-help-insert new ink cartrige-read-follow instructions-may require a alingnment.... and there u go. or go to their web site for help. I tore one up not doing that:-)

Go to printer utilities & click change cartridge it then tells you what to do

Open the cover and press the maintenance button for 6 seconds. The print heads will move to the cartridge replacement position. go to the link and print out the instruction manual for free.

With the printer on, but not printing, Press the maintenance button for 6 seconds. (it is the button on the left, closest to the paper tray) This will bring the print head to the replacement position. It will stop at the black ink cartrigde first. Epson printer cartridges does not stop in the center they stop just a few inches from the right corner. You are able to change them from that position.

Try changing the ink cartridges with the printer turned on, and also try it with the printer turned off. Micro Center has a free service department with a computer guru technician who can probably help you. You have to go in to ask, as they do not give advice over the phone, at least that has been my experience but you can always try.
