How do you get HP 4300 All-in One printer connected to XP PC to be shared with Win 98SE PC?

I have a HP 4300 All-in-One printer connected to XP PC with USB Cable as the default printer for XP PC. I would like to allow Win 98SE PC to share this printer . When I try to setup the printer on Win 98SE PC it is set up but doesn't print. I get the message that "User Intervention Required use printer offline. How to I activate the printer to work?
