Why won't hp deskjet 1000 print after Windows Update?

Took it through print troubleshooter. Wouldn't print in Dos. Went to hp and used their troubleshooter. It briefly repaired the stuck print queue. Went to print and it stuck in print queue again. Removed and reinstalled printer and software. Cleaned print heads. Still doesn't work. Also went to Manage /Service Applications Restart print spooler. Tried to print again. Same problem. Afraid to try to Restore, if I still can. Just changed IP and I'm afraid it will wipe out my new IP software. Help
Answer:

Try to print through notepad.You should be able to print without any problems.If it does not print then reinstall the drivers again and go to device manager and check if the drivers are working or not. If it prints through notepad properly then the problem is with the software itself from which you are giving the command.For instance,if you are using MS Word,then check whether proper printer is selected or proper options are set.Try to reinstall thee software itselft.

i would call the hp customer service line..i had some of the same problems..they walked me threw a checklist..and it fixed my problem
