Printing photos problem?

HP Officejet Pro L7580 black Vivera ink (88) doesn't dry on photo paper, stick to fingers and other photos

  • I used HP Premium Photo Paper (glossy) to print photos at my HP Officejet Pro L7580 and was surprised that black ink (Vivera 88) does not dry during 1 hour and more. It just sticks to fingers and other photos. Color printing at regular paper have good quality and dry fast. Does anybody faced this problem when print photos and transparencies? Any recommendation how to solve problem? Or this is Vivera ink problem? Thanks.

  • Answer:

The HP Premium paper is a thicker paper, and does take quite a while to dry (even though the photo quality itself is good). I recommend trying the HP Advanced paper. It's cheaper, instant dry, and offers a good quality photo. The problems isn't in HP's ink, it's more the photo paper.
