Why does my printer only print text and not images?

How can I print small text so that it blurs less?

  • Hi all, I'm trying to print some small images with small text on top of them. The text is around 8.5pt and prints somewhat blurry. I realize that it's unrealistic of me to expect text that small to print without blurring a little bit on a standard inkjet printer with cheap paper. I have also tried using a laser printer and it prints only slightly less blurry, but it is still hard to read. So my question is, what can I do to make the text more readable? It's very readable on my monitor at print-size in Photoshop. It's been suggested that I print on photo-paper. Will that work? Or perhaps I might get better luck having a service like Staples Copy and Print print it? Thanks!

  • Answer:

If it's a photo quality printer, photo paper is always the best choice.Don't forget to "tell" your printer you're using photo quality paper.
