The printer doesn't recognize ink cartridge?

My HP printer does not seem to recognize my PHOTO ink cartridge? Why?

It is an HP deskjet F4180 all-in-one. Doesn't seem to be able to recognize the photo ink cartridge, number 58. It is in because I can hear it click but the ink cartridge button keeps flashing and says E and I can't pressing the buttons don't do anything but make the on button flash a few times. It is the right ink and it is in properly and the door is closed so why isn't it printing?!? I put in my other 2 cartridges, the colored and black, and they work fine, is there something wrong with my photo cartridge? I was gonna make my own christmas cards this year...
