Why isn't a webcam working with AIM?

Webcam on my HP Pavilion dv9000 isnt working.?

Ok ive tried everything. i have a built in webcam andd..... My webcam wont work and i accidently uninstalled youcam the other day and i cant go on webcam now. Ive tried going to tools and when you go into video and audio setup on msn. wont work. Ive tried going to device manager and look for hp webcam. cant find it Ive tried going to scanners and cameras. wont detect it. Please help. :( thanks
