What printer should I get?

How do you get a printer to print what you want the way you want it?

• I have had three issues for a long time regarding printer printing. One, when the printer prints, it prints like this- you know, only a few words per line and never like a full paragraph should be. How do you make it print normally? Two, sometimes the margins are cut off at the top and bottom of the page and the letters are chopped in half or else the entire page is shifted one side or the other and many words are missing per sentence. How do you correct this and line up the page? Three, suppose you want to print an enlargement picture that stretches from trees on the left to beach on the right. You don't want to reduce the picture in size. Instead, you want to print several large sections of the picture and fit them together like a puzzle when your finished so you have one very large printed photo pieced together. How do you tell the printer which piece of the puzzle to print each time? Every time I print an enlargement picture like that, all I get is the left hand side (say, the trees). How do I tell the printer that I want the right hand side instead (say, the beach)?

  Many issues. 1. Is it all documents that print a few words per line and not full paragraphs? What does the print preview look like? Does this only happen in one program or in all word processing programs? 2. Similar questions to try to narrow down the problem. Understand, printers use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). If the document setup is corrupt the printer will print "corrupt" data. 3. Usually you would have to use a graphics program to do this. You can't just decide. I want to print this picture and this is how I want to do it and I expect the printer just to do it. You need software to give instructions to the printer.
