How would I know the size of my CD Label Sticker?
-
I just bought 2 types of CD Label Sticker but the packaging didn't say anything about the size etc. (not a mini-cd label) Here's the description: 1) The paper is rectagular in shape and has 2 CD Label Stickers per paper. 2) The other one is with a smaller middle hole and the other one has a wider middle hole. I'm planning to make a presentable CD with a label for my Mom but I don't know the exact size of it. Thank you in advance! :)

Hi Justher; CDs are a standard size so either one will work. You have the option of carrying your "CD Face Label Design" onto the center ring or stopping outside it; there are also about 6 other options as well. To get the complete picture of what I mean It's easier to understand what I'm talking about if you go to this link: http://www.reelpicture.com/duplication/templates.asp this is a web page that has templates of all the cd printing options professionally available and their exact measurements etc. Sounds like you purchased labels for 2 different CD printing options so the trick is to decide what your artwork is going to look like and then use the labels that accommodate your cd face label art. If you need help generating the label art this guy has done some awesome work for me and he's pretty reasonably priced: [email protected] Hope this helps Cheers!.

We have ours set to print with the outer setting being 118mm and the inner hole being 23mm. However, we use printable discs so print straight on the disc. We used to use stick-on labels, but when they started to peel off inside the machine ...... well, you can imagine what happened. A normal sized disc is 120mm in diameter, with the smaller inner hole being 22mm. Try those settings, but print on normal paper first. Cut out the printed result, then place it over the disc. You'll be able to gauge if any of the settings need to be 'tweaked' before printing on the label.

Set the size to 4 3/4" square or 5" x 5". That will print exactly in the square. All CD and sleeves are standard. Use the wider CD hole. It looks better and is more the standard. The smaller hole are for the mini-Japan CD's. Don't use that one.

I bought a brand several years ago with the same problem. I believe I was able to go to the company's website and download a template from them.
