What Epsom printer should I get?

Should I upgrade from a 5 y.o. good printer to a new one now? Advantages?

  • I have an Epsom color printer I bought 5 years ago that at the time was expensive and I used it for printing photos. I haven't used it for ages but when I did the prints would fade. I'm guessing this was either the inks or the paper? I'm wondering if I should get a newer printer (if there is a difference) or should I try using this one if I swap out the inks and paper. I want to print photos for framing and large sizes.

  • Answer:

I think you should get more ink. But if you won't a better printer the advantages would be: 1. It would be faster 2. It may have bluetooth compatibility so you can hook it up via wireless which means no cords everywhere

Both Ink and Paper can contribute to the quality of prints. But a cheap Epson inkjet that's 5 yrs old probably needs to be replaced. If you print a lot look at the better HP lasers, they cost more but the toner is a lot less expensive than ink on a per page basis. I've been able to get near photo quality out of a laser after tweaking the internal settings.
