What kind of printer should I get?

  • My other printer broke and I need a new one before school starts. Please I have no idea which printer I should get. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. What I'm looking for in my new printer are the following things: 1. Is cheap 2. doesn't take all of the ink at once 3. has good printing quality 4. (doesn't have to be) but an all-in-one thing 5. (doesn't have to be but preferably) falls into walgreens ink cartridge brand requirement. Thank you in advance

If you're looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series. Right now you can get a Workforce 500 copier/scanner/printer/fax with document feeder for $69 delivered at http://www.compsource.com/ttechnote.asp?part_no=C11CA40201&vid=155&src=F The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it. Stay away from refilling cartridges. This is a dangerous practice and can result in destroying your printer. Read http://www.ccs-digital.com/refills.asp for details. But with ink cartridges at under $3 at http://ccs-digital.com which hold almost twice the ink of other brands, why refill? Refills are more expensive than brand new cartridges! I've been getting my cartridges there for years and I still have a CX3810 which is years old and going strong.

Epson printers are good, cheap and have a great warranty. Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

There is an excellent list of top printers here: http://www.castleink.com/_Top10InkjetPrinters.html If you are leaning toward an All-in-one I'd recommend this one or a similar HP model:HP Photosmart C7180
