The printer was not printing in black ink! Help?

Why has my printer has stopped printing black ink? Help?!?

  • First, it ran out of ink so I replaced it. Ever since this the black ink has been streaked with white and now it won't print black ink at all. I've cleaned it and deep cleaned it. (Of course, this means I'm out of ink in other cartridges now.) Is this a sign that my printer has gone to printer heaven or is there still hope yet? I've done some research about printer heads that become faulty and cost more than a new printer... What should I do?

    well i do suggest u getting a new printer, because ink cost a lot and trying to use ink to test out if it work or not isn't a smart idea sometimes it's cheaper just to get a new printer

the built in head cleaning floods the heads with ink in the hope of flushing out a clog. ink will not dissolve ink. you need a $7 cleaning kit. I have used this one to clean epson, brother and canon printers which were not printing. it works at least 90% of the time. http://ccs-digital.com/epson-head-cleaner.asp
