How to get an indie look in photos?

How do I get my photos to look like they do on my computer screen when printing?

  • The problem is when I print my photos (just snapshot 4x6's) they have this red tint to them that they didn't have on my computer screen. I can adjust the color in photoshop so that this doesn't happen but that takes alot of work when I have 1,000s of photos. I am wondering if there is some sort of easy fix or any sugestions. I have seen software that links your computer and printer color so that you get the true color when printing, but this may be too expensive or is it going to be worth the money??? Thanks

  • Answer:

You can not get exactly the same color as you want from the monitor to the printer. Monitor uses RGB color space it means that it can produce more colors compare to your printer. A printer uses CYMK color spectrum. Also a factor to condisder a correct calibration of your monitor and printer. The closest target should be 85%-90% accuracy, if you wanted to get the closest color get a 6 color photo printer and use a Adobe photoshop color profile.
