Why is my printer not working?

• My printer was working on the other computer but we threw that out and tried to set it up on this computer....we have a router so the cable from the printer is plugged into the router, and the internet is plugged into the router, while another cable connects the router to the computer. the printer is SAMSUNG SCX-4x26....when i click add printer, and then wireless printer, the computer detects it and asks for a driver - unfortunately vista doesn't have the proper driver and so i downloaded a driver cd off the internet and had the install it for me and it still didn't work... what do i do? when i click print it won't go through to the printer....I don't know what i'm doing wrong

  1.First, verify the tab protecting the ink from dispersing is not still on the cartridge. 2.Verify the the ink cartridges have been inserted properly. 3.If a lever has been changed from its original position allowing the ink cartridges to be added / removed, ensure it is back into its original position. 4.Perform a head cleaning on printer if available. 5.Verify no software errors are occurring abd print a test page. 6.If you are installing non manufacturer authorized ink, attempt to use the manufacturer's ink instead. 7.If any indication lights are flashing or are different, refer to your printer documentation or printer manufacturer's web page for additional information on what the lights are indicating. http://windows7.iyogi.com/networking/windows-7-printer-not-working/
